Latin American Underwriters´ primary business is providing short and medium term credit insurance to support trade and investment flows into and out of Latin America and the Caribbean. As part of an overall insurance program, LAU can also offer insurance on transactions originating in and destined to other countries.

LAU acts as the Program Administrator for these insurances pursuant to an agreement with Allied World Assurance Company, Ltd. of Bermuda and its affiliates around the world.

LAU is domiciled in Connecticut and has offices in London, Ecuador and Hamilton, Bermuda.
